So far, we have seen Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee), Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) and Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor). Now we finally get to see what the main character of the upcoming FOX series "Gotham". That main character of course is James Gordon and he will be played by Ben McKenzie (The O.C.).
As with the rest of the cast (whom you can look at HERE), it is a wait and see approach as to whether or not the series will be worth watching. Visually things are going smoothly, and although he is missing the classic mustache and trench coat, Ben so far at least looks like he could be a tough as nails cop trying to protect the mean, corrupt streets of Gotham City. Could be is the key word, as mentioned before, only time will tell if he delivers in the lead role of James Gordon in this origin based series.
Curious as to if there will be more character stills released. There is still at least the young Bruce Wayne being played by Daivd Mazouz, and one would assume other characters that will join the cast to help shape this "pre-Batman" version of Gotham. Until then...

Another character shot from the upcoming FOX series "Gotham" has hit the web. To join the list of Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Alfred Pennyworth (Sean Pertwee) and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) who had theirs released earlier, is Oswald Cobblepot also know as The Penguin. Oswald will be played by Robin Lord Taylor (Sam in Season 4 of The Walking Dead).
(You can find the other characters HERE)
Much like the rest of the cast in the origin based series focused mainly on James Gordon, The Penguin is in "pre-Batman" mode and still working his way up the ladder of the criminal underworld within Gotham. Based on the initial look, they have once again scored a win in the visual department, with Taylor has the look down pat. Although the traditional Cobblepot is a tad short in the height department, and not sure of Robin Lord Taylor's height, but here is hoping a strong script and performance overshadows this if it isn't up to par. We did accept Hugh Jackman's taller Wolverine.
Will be interesting to see who else will be making an appearance within the show, although so far it is safe to assume that we won't be disappointed with the visual aspects of whomever is released in the upcoming days and weeks. Until then...

The upcoming FOX series "Gotham" is beginning to take shape as they release more first looks at the characters that will be partaking in the James Gordon centered series. The latest of which has been Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, butler and guardian of a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). With his version of the classic character being that of an ex-marine, it will interesting to see if Pertwee is able to pull off a stern and hard Englisman, while also portraying a softer side that the character will likely need at some points in the series with how young Bruce is in the story.
Alfred is just the most recent of the initial character looks, with Donal Logue as the shady but effective Harvey Bullock to play alongside Ben McKenzie's James Gordon. With the general look down pat, and given his past acting history it is almost a safe bet that Donal will deliver a Harvey Bullock that all fans will enjoy. Hopefully, McKenzie will use his co-star to help his own performance, given his generally limited acting experience. Although the age difference may have this relationship looking more like that of "father and son". Along with the casting of Bruce Wayne was the casting of Selina Kyle. Who was first of the two to get an official release picture. Where we see the young Camren Bicondova with a likely accidental, added feline touch to her picture as the future Catwoman (first glance, the towers in the back look like her ears).
With the intial characters looking up to snuff in regards to the visual side of things, it does leave us optimistic about future additions to the roster of both the part-time and full-time nature. Of course not all things that look good, taste good. Hopefully, the acting, scripts and directing work together and are of a high quality. This is a FOX series, so the expectations aren't as high as it would be elsewhere. That and the fact that we have seen what happens when someone tries to play in Gotham without the goddamn Batman (ie Birds Of Prey series). Things could be different, if done right. So far, it looks okay.

Not
long ago we were given a small taste of how the scarlet speedster would
look in his upcoming spin-off television series. All we were given was
an almost basic head shot of Grant Gustin's version of The Flash. While
some fans liked it, others hated it, almost all of them were drawing
comparisons to not only the 1990's television series version, but also
to the competition with references to Captain America and Tick being
made.
Flash
forward to today, and we now have an almost full look at Gustin wearing
the full suit. He is crouched and ready to speed off, so it does hinder
us from fully seeing the costume, but it does give enough detail for
people to formulate an opinion on. Like the series from which it came
from (Arrow), it does appear to be keeping with the darker tone. At
least that is the vibe one may get from the darker toned red used in
making the suit. I am sure, or am at least hoping they attempt to give
an "explanation" in the show as to why the suit is what it is. Which is a
combination of leather and heavy mesh type material. Although unlikely
we would get a skintight version like the comic books (thankfully), but
again may need to explain how the "bunchy" parts don't work against the
character while he is running (wind resistance and all that jazz).
Overall,
I am really liking what they have shown us so far. Still taking a
somewhat of a "wait and see" approach as nothing else matters if this
costume does "work" onscreen. I like how although the headpiece makes
him look younger than he is, I do like how the suit seems to have added
some "bulk" to Grant Gustin. Although Flash is a more slim member of the
DC Universe, he does have some muscle tone. And Grant's smaller build
is compensated with this version.
Likely be more visual peeks at what the CW has in store for this show
as we get closer and closer to the premiere, including more details in
regards to the story and direction of the show. So keep your eyes peeled
as they could get here in a....Flash.
UPDATE:
Here are some more pictures of Grant Gustin sporting his new Flash duds. Doesn't look too bad, wasn't sure how it would look within a daytime setting, which is really more Flash's motif so although night time is preferred to keep with the tone of "Arrow", it is nice to see that the darker suit keeps looking as good as it did in the initial promotional shots.
Also nice to see that the suit doesn't always make Grant Gustin look like a teenage boy, as the initial photo of just the the hear gear had done. Would make ever casting a Kid Flash in the age range of 2-5 aka Toddlers! Jokes aside, things are continuing to look good as they continue with production. How will the others look? Better question, if this show takes off, what other characters are going to be granted the pleasure of seeing? Of course characters like Zoom, or a Black Flash could appear and easily "work", same can be said with Captain Cold, but anyone else a tad curious as to how and if Grodd makes his appearance in the "Arrow" spin-off series?
Amazing how much hope a successful guest spot on "Arrow" and a fancy new suit can garner. Perhaps it has been the depravity of Superhero television until the last couple years that didn't have Superman front and center. Peep them locked for more updates! Until then...

(The brighter red pic is a fan made edit, doesn't look too bad, and shows that it may have "worked" just as well)
